Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the results of Songwriting Competition 22

 The winners podium consists of:
  1. canese (37 pts)
  2. Leonard Bowman (34 pts)
  3. Clueless (31 pts)

Apologies for the waiting time, this is not an automated process.

<4 participant rule is not in use (staff comments and votes)
We have 3 disqualifications (two times no feedback/vote given, one time submitted hours after the deadline)
We have 1 vote after the deadline - after valid criticism, I decided to "null" the vote
We have 2 users that tied (SimaGT made 4th place due to 1x10 in his scores, MarkS made 5th as he has no 10's or 9's in his scores)
"Sole (License) Winner" rule does not apply - 3-position Winners Podium

Here are the results as chart in image form:

If you're curious about the result chart with the missing vote (submitted on 2nd July), you can find that one here:
► Show Spoiler

Thank you so much for your participation.
And apologies for the scoresheet resubmission and therefore shifted 3rd place (3rd July, 12:00pm).

 License selection:

We'll now perform with the usual. Selecting licenses is handled in public. Please select one license/company out of the pool (in order of the winners podium) and mention it in this thread, then (important) please get in touch with me (via PM) with your full name, email address and your license selection.

As usual - you're not forced to pick up anything. You can pass and therefore offer more to select for the next person in line (if there is a spot existing / not available for "sole winner" mechanic). Just let all participants/winners/the staff know in a timely manner.

Feedback about the "Songwriting Competition" is welcome (please do so here).

FOR THE FUTURE:
I understand the deadline confusion for our international participants. Especially since Northern America uses Month-Date-Year order instead of Date-Year-Month (Europe). This is why the Global Countdown exists, also the Social Media reminders and the on Newsletter that is being sent out at the 1st of each month. Additional to that, you can subscribe to the thread to stay informed regarding updates.

 Please use these available options.

See you in in the next challenge!

Oh well, I guess that's life....

You actually bring up a very, very valid point.

functionform mentioned in the last SWC, that he mixed up the dates and that it was purely his own fault. With SWC022, he missed the deadline again as well. Probably because of the same mishap. That is unfortunate. However, you're more than right to call me out - I've been once more undermining the Rules and Guidelines (which is not good). It's not like I've been sending out newsletters, Social Media posts, plus there is a Global Countdown existing.

The thing is... the top spots won't change with the corrected score sheet (edit: just updated). You (Clueless) would indeed be at the 3rd place. SimaGT would make 4th (due to 1x10pts in the core sheet), while MarkS would make last again (but out of pure accident).

I apologize for the inconvenience.

EDIT 12:15pm (12:15o'clock)

The score sheet has been updated. Due to the vote "null" from functionform (retroactively disqualified, vote has been submitted after the deadline), the 3rd position has shifted. I once more apologize for the back and forth.

OMG! I'm very happy that you all liked my song.
Thank you guys for the opportunity to share music with you.
I think I'll take the MODO BASS. It's always hard to find a nice bass to fit the production, so I think this will help me winning next SWC :P
Also, no feedback from you this month, Mr. fox?

If I find the time for it, maybe I can offer something (no promises).

PM has been answered.
Next up in line is Leonard Bowman.

I really must apologize, dear colleagues, that I didn't had time enough to vote. Thanks anyway for the feedback that I have read so far (will check later if there's more and what the challenge for this month will be).

Prize-wise I'll go for the Synthmaster bundle.

@A Future in Noise the next challenge is up: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=236
should be a different sort of challenge, quite fun.

Okay, so I'll pass on a prize, although it would have been nice as I only have freeware.

1) because, really only 5 people took part.
2) I don't want to upset someone who may feel disenfranchised by the fact that they had failed to adhere to the rules.

Woohoo, EDaM music next month, yes, im not a great fan :D

Of course it is your free choice to not pick anything. But it was right to call me out.
I'd really love to see more participation in general - but the rules have been bent a bit too often.

Other than that

Technically 8 people participated. Only 5 gave feedback within the deadline. The rules are known, a Global Countdown exists, a newsletter has been sent out.

Has been a requested genre. I really hope those that did, will drum up promotion. You should try it regardless - this is what the SWC is about, stepping outside your comfort zone.
