Hey, just wanted to mention a little standalone software called "Expose" from masteringthemix.com
You can just drag some wave files onto the window and it does some useful offline measuring for you showing LUFS, DR, True Peak values and so on and also shows possible problem areas according to the presets you chose like Mastering for Spotify or CD or whatever.
You can edit the presets to your needs also.
Got this on sale for around 19 bucks I think, really nice tool to have.
I analyzed some submission for our mastering challenge for fun:
2024-OCT-01 Info: We're celebrating 10 years of our small community, and our 100th Mix(ing) Challenge. Many games to participate in this month - please have a look.

A couple more free additions to the thread:
If you consider Atari Teenage Riot music, you're gonnna love this plugin. I certainly do, but I love distortion in general. Krush, from Tritik, it's a bitcrusher with modulation and filters. A really powerful tool and a lot of fun to use.

And this one is a limiter that I just downloaded, but it has a very good reputation and it also has a soviet skin for all the filthy commies out there

I haven't used triktik krush in a while to be honest, I should maybe check it out again.
I can definitely speak highly of VladD Sound Limiter No6. In fact, all of VladG's creations (also in collaboration with Tokyo Dawn Labs and Variety of Sound).
Limiter No6 is a great limiter that I prominently used on a CD mastering job in 2016, where "stuff needs to be loud, yet transparent" was the biggest request. The GE version (Tokyo Dawn Labs) is also not to underestimate. It has a tad more features (like more modes, rearranging the module order) and global oversampling (compared to 4x with a certain mode engaged).
TDL's/VladG's Limiter No.6 and ToneBoosters' Barricade are my go to mastering limiters.

I've gotta say I'm impressed after some testing. I put it up against IK Multimedia Classic Clipper and Stealth Limiter combined, and it kinda murders them. It can really give you transparent loudness, the clipper is great and the HF limiting can be very useful. At first I was kind of confused because I was seeing the Tokyo Dawn Labs version and I wasn't sure if this was a knockoff of something. Knowing these companies collaborate together makes me even happier about this limiter.
In case anyone is a bit intimidated by the interface, I found this video explaining its functions very comprehensively:

Re: Free Tools, Samples and deals (collection thread)
Quick summary:
VladG first created Molot, later Limiter No6. Tokyo Dawn Record's CEO collaborated with VladG on "Proximity" in the KVR Audio Developer Challenge. After that, the collaboration became permanent and "Tokyo Dawn Labs" was formed. For the SlickEQ product range, KVR Developer Challenge favorite "Variety of Sound" got involved as well.
So not a knockoff, but an evolution of these tools.
Here is an official overview video by VladG himself on Limiter No6:

Re: Free Tools, Samples and deals (collection thread)
Hi guys,
I'm sorry to link to another blog but the list of deals is too big to post here and I don't want to appropiate Tomislav's work:
https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2017/1 ... eals-2017/
Also, Hybrid 3 and Vacuum Pro from AIR Music Tech are at 1€ each! (plus VAT if applicable) To be honest I recommend them a lot, good preset machines and easily tweakable afterwards, also very light in resources. iLok though.
Happy holidays!

@HerbFelho Cool screenshot. Would you mind ripping and analyzing a handful of "official" songs. Current and a couple of years old. Could be fun to see.
Re: Free Tools, Samples and deals (collection thread)
Got it (Expose) $17 from audiodeluxe. Will probably get their reference plugin someday. But not for their regular price.
Re: Free Tools, Samples and deals (collection thread)
Also thought about buying the "reference" plugin from masteringhtemix.com
But then I discovered Meldaproduction´s "MCompare", which pretty much does all of that and more and can also be used for comparing mixes and masters at different points in the signal chain at equal volume, lots of options here but takes a bit to learn it and incorporate into your workflow. But once done it can be a big improvement I guess. Got this for 24 EUR with a discount code for checkout that can be quite easily googled.
