Only seems to be MP3?

I have been having problems with google drive links being private/public, so the link I provided was just a test. It worked so I just left it there instead of getting another link for the wave. Tbh, I can't hear the difference bet 320bpm mp3 and wave anyway. Sorry about that. I can try to get another link for the wave if you want. Thanks for pointing it out.

Good day,

Here is my submission:

Wav: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l5dpwH ... sp=sharing

Screenshots: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yPfAfW ... sp=sharing

DAW: Protools 12.5

What I did:

I used a mix of the wet and dry to taste per the notes from the song provider.

Beat - Used the dry, Rcomp,Sansamp, REQ6. Added some drive from sansamp and tried to push some sub bass frequencies. send to reverb
Hihat - used dry. some compression to get more hit. sent to reverb
kick - used dry with EQ for presence and roll off sub bass. sent to reverb
snare - dry. Rcomp to get more tail. EQ push at 1.5. sent to short and long reverbs
sidestick - a bit of compression to pull it out
Bass massive - dry. compression and then just a HPF and LPF to bookend the frequencies. Limiter to just keep things in check
Bass poly- blend of dry and wet, EQ on both and compression on the dry. Worked as a parallel compression in a way
Bass - Blend of both. The dry had lo-fi, eq, and metafilter. Also automated the panning to give movement
layer2serum - dry EQ to push at 41hz. added delay to thicken
pad alchemy - dry. EQ, Vocal Doubler from Izotope and Brauer Motion with slow side to side
Pad Air - wet, brauer motion full side to side
Pad massive - wet, EQ, S1 Imager to widen
Choppy vocal - dry, added delay
Reverb 1 - medium room
Delay - H-delay 1/32 T
Reverb 2 - short plate
Mix bus - Abbey Road TG Mastering - Slight spreader at +2. J37 tape saturation. L1 Limiter just to catch any spikes

Feedback is very welcome!

Hello!
First,i want to thanks for this mix challenge.

I usually mix acoustic song and this electronic genre is new for me and very fun to learn with.

This is my mix:

Screenshot:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Underneath is my description

note:
All tracks that have been use in this mix are dry track.

-Group all of the track by the role of it in the way i prefer for mixing.
-Gain staging all of the track so it won't clipping and suitable for plug in to work with it's full efficiency.
-Balance all the track.
-Pan "side stick"track slightly to the right so it not get masking with snare.
-Pan "Hihat" slightly to the left to avoid masking again.
-Pan track "bass-poly stack" slightly to the right to leave a space for a "PAD" at the center and also left side already has hihat and thier rythm are alike.
-use stereo widening plug-in "isotope imager" on track "pad alchemy" and "pad sylenth" to make it wider and more interesting than the previous section.
-use stereo widening plug-in "isotope imager" on track " Violin 1" and made it sound the widest in the mix because i want string sound make the mix fuller in that section.
-apply high pass filter at 150 Hz to all tracks except kick and bass to creat space in low frequencies for kick and bass.
-use high shelf eq cut at 1000Hz to all bass track to create a space for pad and sound that live in high frequencies.
-use eq to boost 50Hz in track"Bass massive" to add energy to a mix.
-use eq with narrow Q to cut some 80Hz from the bass and use eq with narrow Q to boost 80Hz in Kick to make a kick cut through the mix and don't get masked by bass
-use eq with wide Q to boost 1800 Hz in track "Daydream choppy vocal" to make it sound presence in the mix.
-apply hall reverb in track "Daydream choppy vocal" to push it back.
-apply another reverb in track "Pad massive"
-Automate panning of track "Daydream choppy vocal" to make it more interested.
-use harmonic saturation in track "pad air"
-use eq with wide Q to boost 1500 Hz in track "pad massive"
-use eq with narrow Q to boost 800Hz in track "violin 1" to add it's body.
-use eq to boost 560Hz and cut 5000Hz in track"Layer 1 serum"
-use auto pan plug-in in track "Layer 1 serum" and "Layer 2 serum" to add movement.
-use parallel compression in track "Beat dry" and blend it in to make rythm sound bigger.
-use compressor with 4:1 ratio in master bus to glue all sound toghther.

Hello, here is my mix:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Nu1XmH ... p=sharing

Beat: I used this track almost like a parallel chain to the individual drum tracks. Highly compressed and removed all the highs and lows with Alloy.

Kick: SSL channel strip. Added some highs and lows. Scooped out some mids.

Snare: Added a bit of 2k with the ssl channel strip.

Hat: Added a lot of 8k with the SSL channel strip.

Bass: Just took away a bit of 10K and added some 200 with alloy.

Bass Stab: added some 100 with the Logic tube eq.

Bass Massive: Used the Maxxbass for some warmth.

Layer 1: Vintage warmer to take away some highs.
'
Layer 2: Alloy to take away some highs and add miss.

Pad Alchemy: SSL channel strip to add some 1k.

Pad Sylenth: Used the Logic Phat Fx to add some movement.

Pad Air: Used the FilterFreq to add movement.

Pad Massive: Took away some 300 added some 1k with Alloy.

Violins: Added some 5k with alloy.

Vocal: Pan automation and some distortion with Driver.

Mixed in Ableton
I used the dry tracks to challenge myself with fx.

Kick - EQ, SSL comp, more EQ, Para compression
Snare - Smack Attack, EQ, Gate, Reverb, para compression, 1/4 delay, space delay
Sidestick - EQ, StandardCLIP, Reverb
Hihiats - EQ, Reverb
Bass dry - EQ, Comp, Distortion
Bass Massive - EQ, gullfoss, overdrive, more EQ, trash2, M/S EQ
Bass Stabs - EQ, overdrive, moe EQ, gullfoss, M/S EQ
Vocal was fun - EQ, gullfoss, LittleAlterBoy (small formant shift), reverb
- sent vocal into delay then automated feedback then auto panned. The delay re-arises later in parts to keep to space and vocal energy present (delayed the delay)

First post here and lots and lots of rules to feed through. I hope I didn't slip up anywhere. Kind of strict but I do appreciate the opportunity. Thank You.

Thanks for the music. I have fun (and at times scary) mixing it.

EQ and comp across all tracks. I only used the dry tracks; that's more than enough ammunition to wage world war 3 already, imo. EQs mostly to cut the lo mid. Lots of HP and LP. Compression is used primarily to tuck instruments in. Tons of delays; they are everywhere. The most notable are: 1. I use a fuzz and a deep HP+LP for the lead synth in the beginning along with automation to create exciment and 2. I used a flanger on the Pad Sylenth to give it more growl. I also strapped a distortion to the whole mix to try to bring out the snarl :). Hope you like it, man. Thanks

I hope my link works properly now. You'd let me know, wouldn't you? Thanks.

Hello Mr Fox,
I would like to thank the composer of this track for this opportunity to mix.I have done my best and hope you will like it too.I have used LOGIC PRO as the DAW.

So the approach to the mix is the key:

I grouped all the percussion and rhythmic tracks together barring the kick. The kick was mono out.

Kick processing: Fab-q3 eq , fatmaker, kick bass side chained on native logic studio compressor,

rhytm & drums: group processing by Panning,EQ using Fab FilterQ3, Space designer as reverb , Delay designer as delay

Group Vocals: COMPRESSOR AND SATURATION- IZOTOPE NECTAR2 , LOGIC EQ, STEREO IMAGER- LOGIC, waves CLA-3A, dynamic processor

Synth: lots of eq and automation along with manny M ambience

Pads- widener, EQ-MFX, pancake,

Violin- FAB-MB , H-delay and FAB-R rverb

Longterm LUFS : -16

Hello Everyone,
Very nice piece of music.well, after I listened to the track immediately I've decided to two things.
1-less width and more of mono compatibility.
2-want more sold track with cohesive low-end.
so I started as usual with the drums.

Drums

◉ Kick, LC 24db/Oct about 35/40Hz - little cut around (300-500 Hz) about 1/2 dB - added saturation and compression.
◉ Snare, LC 12db/Oct about 60/70Hz - cut around 500HZ about 3db - added a good amount of saturation. added reverb as well.
◉ Hihat, LC around 400/500Hz - boosted around 5k about 2.db (high shelf).
◉ Sidestick LC around 300Hz - cut @ 500Hz and boosted around 1k(high shelf) about 1.5db.

Bass

◉ Bass, used fabfilter to cut around 100Hz and added a good amount of saturation.
◉ Bass Massive, cut high end a little bit and little compression.
◉Poly Stabs, used only saturation and compression for coloring a sound just a little.

Int Loudness (LUFS - BS.1770)-19.80 (ITU) TPL-5.09 (ITU)-any comments or feedback are most welcome .

My submission.
